About Your Notary Session
What to expect during your notary session:
- Click "Notarize Now" to start the process
- The first step is identity verification: You will need to answer a few knowledge-based authentication (KBA) questions. This step is timed - you will have 2 minutes to complete it. We recommend starting this portion only when you have no distractions and can focus without interruptions.
- Have your your government-issued ID ready for upload. Mobile users: Have a clear photo of the front and back of your government-issued ID ready to upload. Laptop/desktop users: You'll need to hold your ID up to your camera for scanning.
- After completing identity verification, you'll be connected to a live notary session to sign your documents.
Helpful Tips
- Use a device with a working camera and microphone (smartphone or computer)
- Find a well-lit area with a stable internet connection
- Allow about 10 minutes to complete the session
Additional signer(s):
If there's someone else on title with you (or who is otherwise required to sign the mortgage, such as your spouse), they'll receive an email with a link to start their own notary session after you complete yours. The additional signer is not a borrower on the Trovy HELOC, and we won't pull their credit. We only require their signature to ensure we have a valid security interest in your property.
